Oh hey there! For those of you that do not know me, I am Erin – A Family photographer in Colorado! I am going to help you get excited about your family photos!
No Expectations
Seriously, I know we all scroll though insta and Facebook and see all of these seemingly perfect images of celebrities and families and wish we could be like them. I am going to share a secret…….that is not real Mama! No-one is THAT amazing and perfect all the time. And your pictures should reflect that. I want you to go into your photography session with NO EXPECTATIONS. Scary right? Trust me though, I am going to capture YOUR family as they are IN THIS MOMENT. Whatever that may be. I promise I am going to give you images that you will cherish for years to come.
Prepare your kids for fun!
This photographer in Colorado lives for having fun. Especially with kiddos. No experience is like another, which is why I love them! While I will get some traditional everyone smiling and looking at the camera images, that will not be where the focus of the experience is. Please be sure to chat with your family members (Dad’s included) prior to the experience so that everyone knows what to expect. Most of my clients refer to our time together as an adventure; plan to frolic, pick flowers, play tag, snuggle and anything else that brings your loved ones joy. This is how I capture amazing, authentic images of you and your family.

Seriously, that is what I am here for! I will walk you through styling your family from head to toe, as well as work closely with you to ensure that you feel great about our time together. It is not unheard of for clients to text me photos from the store while they are shopping for outfits (not kidding! I love it!). We even have a few dresses for Mom that look amazing on camera, so do not hesitate to ask! I am here to help you!
Be prepared.
The day before your session be sure all of your outfits are washed and ironed. I like to lay everything out just to be sure. Bathe your kiddos the night before too. The more you can do the day before, the less stressed you will be the day of.
GET EXCITED!
This is the big one! Get your family excited! Talk to them about how much fun we are going to have together, ask them what they would like to do with Miss Erin, whatever it takes. Adventures are fun! They can be whatever you want them to be. A word of advice – please do not stress the day of the session if the kids are having an off day. I promise you our session will still be amazing. Remind yourself why you hired me – to tell your families story. To capture you and your loved ones IN THIS MOMENT. Whatever that moment may be.
