Hiring a professional photographer is not cheap and it is not something that should be entered into lightly. Months and months of planning and it is finally time. The day for your family photos. Do NOT stress if everything does not go according to your plan, it never does. I encourage you to go with the flow, be in the moment. I promise you are going to love your images no mater what. You know why? Because they are your moments, your memories, your story.

I call my sessions adventures because no two are ever the same, you never see the same shots with multiple families. Same locations, yes, but never the same shots. This is because your family is not the same as the Jones family or the Smith Family or any other family. Your professional photography session is unique to you. I promise if you let me guide you on this journey, it will be totally worth it.

After what seems like FOREVER (if you are like me you check your email every 30 seconds for days or weeks waiting…….) you get the email that contains your gallery. As a photographer, the moment that I hit send I am immediately filled with anxiety, nerves and overwhelmed with emotion. I pour my heart into every single image that you receive in your gallery and I want you to love them as much as I do. So, you have these what I hope you consider, incredible moments frozen in time. As you scroll through your gallery a beautiful story unfolds, what do you do now?
If you are like most, myself included, you download them from your gallery onto some sort of storage device where they will stay for eternity. DON’T BE THIS PERSON! PRINT YOUR PHOTOS! There is just something so special about seeing your images in print. Seriously, your portraits can be such an amazing way to style your home. I am reminding you that you made the investment on professional family photography, share your images with the world! Or everyone that comes over to your house anyway.

There are so many different and unique ways to display your images throughout your home. I am going to share some of my favorites with you! Artifact Uprising is my FAVORITE consumer lab. They have such unique products at affordable prices. I have a fantastic selection of locally sourced heirloom products as well (think coffee table albums, reclaimed wood canvases, you can sneak a peak here. Pinterest is also a fantastic source for design inspiration.
So many options………
I love a traditional gallery wall, taking one image and splitting it into multiple canvas prints is pretty amazing, printing on different mediums like metal and wood is also a cool way to shake it up a bit. I also saw someone do a take of Photo Booth style prints using simple framed pictures. Whatever your style, there are so many unique ways to display your images.
