Are you just DYING to know what it is I CAN’T live without???
I can’t wait to tell you! As most of you know, I have a little photography studio in my basement in my home. It is kind of my sanctuary. There is a sense of peace and happiness whenever I go in there. You could say it is my happy place. When I was thinking about what to blog, I wanted to let my readers in on something that as a photographer I just couldn’t live without!
Spill the beans already would you?!?!?!
I thought a lot about what specific photography related item I just couldn’t live without – Photoshop (duh), My Einstein light system ( I could shoot natural light without it), my Wacom tablet (I could go back to a mouse). None of these really got me excited. Then it hit me. You guys, there is 1 thing in my photography studio I would literally die without. Don’t laugh, because it’s true.

Meet The Baby Shusher. It truly is “The Sleep Miracle” as stated on the device. Before we go much further into why I cant live without this little gem, I want to assure you that I am not being paid to advertise for them. I get nothing but joy in telling you how much I LOVE THIS THING! I even have a spare just incase one breaks during a session.

Because I primarily shoot newborns in my photography studio, it is imperative that I create a calm soothing environment. It is warm, it is dark and there is a tranquil shhhhhhhhhhhhh sound happening. This miraculous device not only helps lull my tiny clients off to dreamland, it also is on a 30 minute cycle so it helps me keep track of time! I can not put my finger on why the shusher works like a dream but it does. At least 95% of the babies that come into the photography studio can be calmed and drift off to a sweet slumber with this. It seriously is magic you guys!

I know this isn’t specifically FOR Photography like a lens or a lighting system, but for a newborn photographer it is a must. I have also had many a client ask about where they can snag one because it is THAT awesome.
I am kind of excited to say that later this year, my clients will be able to snag their very own shusher when they come in for their sessions, but for now – you can grab one here.
