Colorado maternity portraits are something that most women, myself included, push to the wayside. We are so critical of our bodies, worried about double chins, stretch marks, swollen feet, etc. and the last thing you want to do is get in front of a camera.
I feel you Mama! I really do. We did not have any professional portraits taken of me when I was pregnant with either of my kids. One or two snapshots might be out there somewhere and that is it. I hardly even let my husband take photos of me when I was pregnant. I REGRET THIS……A LOT! I wish that someone would have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and capture those moments. At the time, I didn’t know it would be something I wanted and now all these years later, I so wish I had them.

We can’t go back in time – all we can do is capture it and preserve it so that we can look back on it and remember. Remember the beauty that is creating and growing a new life. Remember the love you had for your little one and how excited you were to meet them.
Because of this, I offer complimentary Colorado maternity portraits with all of my newborn sessions. The mini session is free Mama! And who doesn’t love FREE things?!?! If you don’t like your images, you don’t have to buy any. At least this way, if you change your mind I have the images. I have to gently nudge most of my mamas to get in front of the camera but once they do, the majority tell me that they are so glad that they did.
I feel so fortunate that I get to call this work. Who else gets to wake up every single day and help families celebrate life & love? I love that I get to tell their story. It is incredible to be able to create a moment in amongst all of the chaos that is new parenthood, where new moms and dads can really just focus on that amazing, tiny human that they are creating.
