When I picture a perfect Colorado family session in my mind, this session is up there. The weather was amazing, the light was incredible, and this family was everything! They were so comfortable just hanging out and being with each other. It was a breath of fresh air. We played, we laughed, there were snuggles and secrets. This is what family is all about. This is what I want to capture for you so you can hold onto these amazing memories forever.

This family’s gallery was gigantic because I just loved so many of their images. I really pride myself on preparing my families for our time together. I want them to know that when they show up we are not going to jump right into a stiff everybody smile and look at the camera poses. It is likely that we will chat, I will get the kiddos feeling a bit more comfortable with me and you probably won’t even know when I start shooting. That is my goal anyway.
When I think of what I want to remember of my family years from now I think of the little things like how tiny their hands were, how they loved to snuggle with me and just be. That they loved to be tickled or the braid that my daughter always wore in her hair. This is what I try to capture for all of my families. These moments, that when all put together will tell their unique story.
I feel so fortunate that I get to call this work. Who else gets to wake up every single day and help families celebrate life & love? I love that I get to tell their story. It is incredible to be able to create a moment in amongst all of the chaos that is parenthood, where moms and dads can really just focus on the amazing family that they created. I am pretty lucky if you ask me!
