So many poses……so hard to choose
Gosh, when I sat down to write this post, I thought this would be a no brainer. Colorado baby photography is my jam and I have my go to poses that I do every session. But, once I actually started to think about it, I love so many poses and all for different reasons. It was hard to narrow it down to 1 favorite pose, so I chose my top 3!
I love this one for so many reasons but mostly, I just love how sweet and peaceful baby looks. I also can get a lot of variation out of this pose without disturbing baby. Which is KEY – the less we have to mess with baby, the better right?!?!? This pose can also be done while baby is still in a diaper by simply throwing a pretty wrap over the diaper and draping it off in the distance. The angles you can get from this one pose are awesome too. It gives a lot of variety to the gallery!
The Potato Sack
You either love this one or hate it. I love it and here is why…….It is a sure fire way to get baby sleepy. Something about being wrapped up snug in this wrap will allow even the fussiest baby to drift off into dreamland. And like the side laying pose, you can get a ton of variety here without disturbing baby. Add a different wrap and new prop and you have an entirely different look!
Can you even stand the cuteness here????? Her sweet features are the focus and everything else just blends beautifully into the background. Colorado Baby Photography can get super elaborate in the posing, props etc, but I really prefer to keep the focus on baby. Most of my set ups are simple. I strive to give my clients timeless images as opposed to what the current trend is.
This forward facing pose also works great for in a bucket or basket too…….I love how you see the details of the face and the hands its super sweet if you ask me.
Do you have a favorite pose??
If you do, drop a message and let me know what it is! You can check out some of the other posing I do in my Colorado Baby Photography sessions here. Are you expecting or know someone who is? I would LOVE to chat about how I can create the newborn session of your dreams, using all of your favorite poses!
