Studio vs Outside
I have had a lot of expecting Mama’s lately opt for studio pregnancy photos instead of an outdoor session. I am not going to lie- I LOVE a good sunset outdoor session, especially with an expecting mama. You get the golden hour glow- a beautiful flowy dress and just the right amount of breeze, GAHHHHH its magic.
I will admit that I do not love, well did not love, studio maternity sessions. I felt that they were rather stale, that I could be so much more creative in an outdoor setting. However, with this sudden increase of requests for studio pregnancy photos, I have really stepped outside of my comfort zone. And I will let you in on a little secret….I kinda love it!
There is something so much more intimate about a Pregnancy session in a studio. I really feel as though my clients can be so much more free . Rather than worried about people seeing and judging them in a public outdoor setting.
Another added bonus with a studio session is that we don’t have to worry about the weather! And let me tell you, Colorado has been rough this year as far as weather goes. I have had to reschedule more sessions this year, then I have had to in the 11 years I have been in business! Crazy right?!?!?
You can also be free to get some more intimate portraits of yourself. To really show off that beautiful belly! I have been getting lots of requests for the Calvin Klein set and studio pregnancy photos are the perfect set up to rock this!
Wether you choose a sun drenched outdoor session, or a more secluded studio session – rest assured the end result will be amazing! You will get some amazing portraits to pass on to your baby. Trust me, that is the best gift you can give them. It is something they will cherish forever.
