So I can check “do a photo shoot in a snow storm” off of my bucket list. And when I say snow storm. I mean, it was a SNOW STORM. I am not talking just a few pretty fluffy snowflakes, it was coming down fast! On the afternoon of Natalia’s session, I checked in with her, assuming she would cancel for sure. When she said she wanted to go ahead with her snowy maternity session, I am not going to lie – I panicked a little.
You see, I HATE cold weather. Like, I really hate it. But after I gave myself a pep talk, I started to get excited. I mean, how often do I get Mama’s who get themselves all dolled up for photos and want to go outside in FREEZING wet snow for pictures. Right?? You guys, I am SO glad we did this session! The images are amazing if I do say so myself! Upon meeting and talking with Natalia, I found out she is from Alaska so this was probably no big deal to her lol. I am so excited to meet up with her again in a few short weeks to welcome her little one.
Natalia brought the cutest little pair of snow boots for her baby. And we had the perfect day for tiny, baby snow boot photos, right?! It’s like she planned it and brought the snow for our session!
Snowy Maternity Session
I feel so fortunate that I get to call this work. Who else gets to wake up every single day and help families celebrate life & love? I love that I get to tell their story. It is incredible to be able to create a moment in amongst all of the chaos that is new parenthood, where new moms and dads can really just focus on that amazing, tiny human that they created. I am pretty lucky if you ask me!
