Personalized Newborn Photography
Oh hey there Mama! I am still here and still doing photography for newborns! Safely of course! It’s been a minute – but good news its because we have been SO VERY BUSY over here! So first and foremost THANK YOU! I am truly humbled to each and every time someone chooses me to tell their story.
Meet Baby M. He was just the most adorable newborn – and he slept like a champ too! I am not going to lie, photography for newborns is HARD. It’s challenging and it is so very rewarding. Therefore, I never know what I am going to get with each newborn that I photograph. However, I think that is what makes my job so fun. Having to be flexible and roll with it is so very important when photographing newborns. I always tell parents that baby runs the show and that we are on their time table.
So much goes into planning a photography for newborns session. I spend a lot of time chatting with Mom and Dad to ensure we capture exactly what they want. Baby M’s parents were avid skiers so we had to work that into the session, and they loved neutral colors (a family after my own heart lol). I loved how creative I got to be setting up the shot with the amazing vintage skis they brought. For those of you wondering – it is the first image in this post. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to bring sentimental items to their session. It adds a little personal touch to their newborn session.

Photography for newborns should not be stressful for the parents. That is something that I work REALLY hard to do. My goal for the parents is to be able to put all of the stress and chaos of new parenthood aside for the short time we are together. To really be able to observe and participate in what we are doing and to see the joy and beauty in this amazing, beautiful life that they created. Time is so fleeting, photography for newborns is really an essential part of your little ones story. It is the beginning of their legacy!
