I got the privilege of spending my Sunday with Jackson and his wonderful parents. I have been chatting with Mom since late November so it was great to finally get to meet them all for his newborn photography session. I went to their home in Boulder (I really must get up there more often, I forget just how stunning it is……)just at the base of the foothills. They had some of THE COOLEST STUFF that they wanted to incorporate into the newborn session. I love it when parents do this- to me it makes the session and the portraits so much more personal. I seriously could have stayed all day photographing Baby J and all of the awesome “props” they had.
Jackson made his debut about a month early, so even though he was a little over a month old, he was still pretty tiny. He was SO alert – it was amazing actually. I did get him to sleep just long enough for me to get some sleepy posed shots, the rest of the session had more of a lifestyle vibe to it. Which I really love- it speaks to how the family interacts with one another and these guys are totally smitten with their sweet son. Here are a few from their Boulder newborn session-
I really love a good black and white photo, but I just couldn’t decide which one of these I liked better- Color or B&W-
This last one is one of my favorites from the session- the quilt was made by Dad’s Great Grandmother! Its pretty awesome right?!?!
