I got the pleasure to meet this amazing couple for their maternity portraits. After meeting them that one time, I knew that they were going to be incredible parents. I was so right! When they showed up at my studio for their Arvada newborn portraits, the love and joy was just radiating off of them. Dad seemed almost in awe of this perfect little human that gets to call him Daddy. The best part of my job is watching the wonder of parenthood. Watching couples become parents for the first time and seeing their families grow. I love getting the chance to be a part of this amazing journey with them!
Madison – Arvada Newborn Portraits
Not all babies sleep for their sessions. You can do everything I tell you to do in your preparation guide, and they still won’t sleep, and that is OK. That was definitely the case with Madison. She was bright eyed and bushy tailed unless she was all wrapped up. I love that Mom and Dad did not stress about it, we all just rolled with it. Her parents loved the gallery and so did I. I think my favorite image from this newborn experience is the black and white of the family – the eye contact is just incredible. It shows so much love and emotion, I just love it!
I loved the color scheme for this experience! For all my clients, I send out a questionnaire that asks detailed questions about likes and dislikes so that I can craft the perfect experience for you! I think these colors were so stunning with Madison’s skin, don’t you? I always try to keep my newborn set ups classic and neutral. That way, the images we create are timeless. I don’t want any of my newborns to grow up, look at their photos, and think “wow, my parents had terrible taste” or “the 2010’s were awful – there was no style!” These images are created to last, not to be trendy, because they aren’t just for you, the parents. They are a keepsake for your children and their children, for generations to come!
I feel so fortunate that I get to call this work. Who else gets to wake up every single day and help families celebrate life & love? I love that I get to tell their story. It is incredible to be able to create a moment in amongst all of the chaos that is new parenthood, where new moms and dads can really just focus on that amazing, tiny human that they created. I am pretty lucky if you ask me!
