Colorado Maternity Portraits

I don’t know what it is about Maternity Photography that I just love, but I do. Maybe it is the knowledge that she is growing a life inside of her. Or the way that the Dads adoringly look at their wives/partners like they hung the moon. Whatever it is, it gets me every time. I strongly believe that every expecting Mama MUST have maternity portraits done. They don’t have to be professional, but just capture it – cell phone, instant camera, point and shoot, whatever it is, capture it.

This time is fleeting. When your babies are grown up and expecting their own babies, don’t you want to be able to show them pictures of you pregnant? What an amazing memory to be able to share, right?? I know this sweet Mama from Pure Barre (best workout everrrrrr), and I was just thrilled when she booked me for her newborn and maternity portraits. I love the gown that she selected when she came to the studio for her fitting and I also was so happy when she told me that she was getting hair and makeup done for her session.

It is so important to pamper yourselves Mama’s! You deserve it! Plus, you don’t have to worry about having a bad hair day on picture day :). I don’t know about you but that always stresses me out. This experience was definitely one for the books,. The weather was, well, interesting (typical for Colorado right?) and the backdrop was just perfect. Their wardrobe complimented the colors of the foothills perfectly! And talk about love……just the way they look at each other is so sweet. I just know this baby is going to be so loved and adored.
